  1.  When is the 14th Annual Komen Northern Nevada Race for the Cure®?
     Sunday, October 7, 2012
  2.  Where is the Race held?
    The Race is held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV
  3.  How long is the Race?
    Participants can register for a 5K, which is approximately 3.1 miles, or a 1-Mile Fun Walk. You may choose to run or walk either event. If you are unable to participate on Race Day, you may register to Sleep In for the Cure®.
  4.  What time does the Race start?
    The start times depend on the event you are participating in:
    •     5K Timed Run - 8:30am
    •     5K Walk/1 Mile Walk - 8:45am
  5.  Where is the Start Line and Finish Line?

  6.  How much does it cost to register?
    The registration fees are as follows:
    •     Adult - $30.00
    •     Adult - Chip timed - $35.00
    •     Student (13-college) - $20.00
    •     Student (13-college) Chip timed - $25.00
    •     Child (ages 6-12) - $10.00
    •     Child (ages 6-12) - Chip timed - $15.00
    •     Child (5 and under) - Free
    •     Sleep in for the Cure - $40.00
  7.  Does the Race recognize breast cancer Survivors?
    Yes! Survivors remind us all that participating in this event is a part of a bigger race to find the cures for breast cancer. To ensure that our Survivors feel like VIP’s, we have a variety of memorable recognition activities and special accommodations to ensure their Race Day experience is as special as they are.
    •     In their Race Packets, Survivors will receive a complimentary pink cap and pink t-shirt.
    •     Complimentary breakfast will be available at the buffet located inside the Grand Sierra Resort.
    •     All Survivors will receive a complimentary parking pass.
    •     Other Survivor activities include a Survivor recognition ceremony and Survivor parade.
